SUMMARY:Coaster Cart Derby
DESCRIPTION:ALL KIDS WELCOME TO PARTICIPATE (6-14 yr old)! \nDon’t miss this family event using gravity-propelled vehicles. The Coaster Cart Derby is intended solely as an enjoyable event for youth (boys & girls\, 6 to 14 year olds)\, families\, and spectators. The event is not sanctioned by any recognized competition agency.  A parent or guardian must directly supervise the design and construction of the vehicle\, and guide and train any driver of the vehicle to ensure safe equipment and use of it. The drivers must wear a helmet\, which will adequately protect them. Refer to the official rules.  \nThere is a limited number of Coaster Carts available for your use. Please contact Nira Rajan at Nira_Rajan@yahoo.com\n \nEarly Bird Registration now through July 15 = $25.00 per person \nAfter July 15 =  $45.00 per person\n \nWhen: Check-in and cart safety inspection – 9:00 AM\n               Practice runs will start – 9:30 AM\n                Races begin – 10:00 AM \nWhere: 229 Minnetonka Ave S\, Wayzata\, MN 55391\n                 At the hill in front of the Wayzata Post Office at the corner of Minnetonka Ave and Indian Mound Street \nCoaster Cart Kits can be purchased online at www.soapboxes.com. \nHave fun designing and building your coaster cart over the summer! SUMMARY:Dachshund Races & Dog Park Activities
DESCRIPTION:James J. Hill Days Dog Park is THE place to be for dog lovers from 10am – 2 pm both Saturday & Sunday at Panoway Plaza.\n \nSaturday\, September 12 Dachshund Races | Races Start at 12 pm | Registration Opens at 10 am\nThe races will be held Saturday\, September 12\, beginning at 12:00 pm at the JJHD Dog Park (at the Panoway on Wayzata Bay Plaza) in Downtown Wayzata. \nThe cost for entry for each event is $30. The races consist of three events; Sprints\, Hurdles\, and a Costume Contest. You can register for one event or all three! Entries will be accepted until the race is full. Entry fees are non-refundable. Final Instructions about the day of the event will be sent to the owners closer to the event date. \nBundles: Have more than one Doxie? \n– Buy your ticket for the sprints\, hurdles\, and costume contest at Full price $30 – register your 2nd Doxie (and 3rd Doxie if applicable) for $15 \n– Buy your ticket for the costume contest at Full price $30 – register your 2nd Doxie (and 3rd Doxie if applicable) for FREE. \nRace Rules \n\nBack by popular demand! Registered dachshunds will receive a numbered racing cape at check-in on race day\, which must be worn during the event for winner identification. The capes will be collected after the race for reuse in future events.\nRaces are assigned at random and the number of dogs in each heat will be based on number of entries.\nThe first place dachshund in each heat will advance to the finals.\nEach dachshund will need two handlers to race – one at the starting line as the “releaser” and one at the finish line as the “catcher.”\nYou may bring your dog’s favorite toy as an incentive at the finish line. Items not allowed: “loud” noise toys or objects\, laser pointers\, “human food” (small treats okay).\nWinners of heats and advancement is the decision of the finish line judge.\n\n  \n \n \nMore Fun Happenings at the Dog Park \n\nDoggy Olympics is Sunday!
