Construction Alert: Hwy 12 Wayzata to Minnetonka

Information about upcoming traffic impacts will be posted on the project website as details become available. Motorists can expect road, ramp, bridge and lane closures during construction. There will be weekend closures on Hwy 12 between Central Ave. (Co. Rd. 101) and I-494 before Memorial Day or after Labor Day. Click here for more information.
Lane Closures
Late April through fall: Hwy 12 is reduced to two lanes in both directions between Central Ave. (Co. Rd. 101) and I-494 Late April through fall; Weekly Monday through Friday: Eastbound Hwy 12 is reduced to two lanes between Central Ave. (Co. Rd. 101) and Shoreline Dr. during morning rush hour and reduced to one lane during evening rush hour. Westbound Hwy 12 is reduced to one lane between Shoreline Dr. and Central Ave. (Co. Rd. 101) during morning rush hour and reduced to two lanes during evening rush hour. A moveable barrier system will be used for most of the construction season to shift lanes during peak travel times.
Ramp Closures
Late April through mid-summer: The following ramps are closed- Westbound Hwy 12 to Shoreline Dr., Westbound Hwy 12 to Central Ave. (Co. Rd. 101), Central Ave. (Co. Rd. 101) to westbound Hwy 12 Mid-summer through fall. The following ramps are closed: Northbound Shoreline Dr. to eastbound Hwy 12, Eastbound Hwy 12 to Central Ave. (Co. Rd. 101), Central Ave. (Co. Rd. 101) to eastbound Hwy 12.
